Biographical Information on SBLPA Officers:

President & Governor: Terri Collier-Stringer, CCLS, began her career in Sonoma County doing title and escrow work, financial planning and working in the wine business for Clos du Bois Wines. Her first job in the legal field was in 1981 with the San Rafael law office of Kuhn & Levy, where she worked for 16 years and soon became legal secretary to Robert M. Levy in his real estate litigation practice. Mr. Levy encouraged Terri to join MCLPA to become a California Certified Legal Secretary. Terri joined MCLPA, and while a member of that association, obtained her CCLS, was bulletin editor and held the office of President for two terms. Five years after moving to Magnolia, Mississippi, where she did personal injury and mass tort litigation, Terri and her family returned to CA. She has been with the firm of Price, Postel & Parma LLP in Santa Barbara since 2004. Terri loves music and will break into song every chance she gets. Her hobbies are sewing renaissance costumes for her family and, along with their son, helping her artist husband to run his jewelry booth at events all over California.

Co-Vice President: Noemi Vasquez Noemi is originally from the Bakersfield area, and moved to Santa Barbara to attend UCSB -she graduated in 1990. Afterwards, she entered the business of collections until she came to work in the legal field with a large firm in Santa Barbara in 1995. Currently, she is the Receptionist at Reicker, Pfau, Pyle & McRoy, LLP, where she has worked for the last 18 years. In 2006, she joined the SB Legal Professionals Association and has been in charge of membership, ways & means and handling all aspects of the year-end See's Candy sales. Noemi loves to watch classic movies, listen to music & spend time with her family here in Santa Barbara and in Bakersfield.

Co-Vice President: Lisa Velez was born and raised in Santa Barbara. She attended local elementary and junior high schools, graduating from Santa Barbara High School in June 2001. Lisa began her legal career in October 2001 as an office clerk for Reicker, Pfau, Pyle & McRoy LLP, where she has worked for the past 11 years and has worked her way up the ladder to her present position as a legal secretary for two attorneys! Lisa has been a member of SBLPA since 2006 and served as co-vice present for the last four years. She is a proud mommy to two boys, Michael, six years old, and Matthew, two years old, and is thrilled to be growing professionally and personally. Her hobbies include making fleece blankets, knitting and watching sports (both on TV and attending games), along with spending as much quality time as possible with her boys and making memories with them that will last a lifetime.

Secretary & Parliamentarian: Mary Carralejo has been a legal secretary since 1979 and a member of SBLPA since 1983. She is a past president of SBLPA and has also served as SBLPA'S governor and treasurer. Mary C. is currently employed at the firm Reicker Pfau Pyle & McRoy, working for Mike Pfau in the firm's transactional department. Her past legal experience includes working for civil litigation and bankruptcy attorneys. Her hobbies include gardening and growing orchids.

Treasurer: Terry Utterback grew up in Pasadena, Arcadia, Claremont and Corona del Mar. She graduated from UCSB with a degree in art (painting). She went to work for the UCSB Alumni Office as Alumni Secretary shortly after graduation. Her first job in a law firm was in 1969 as secretary to Edward Schramm of Schramm, Raddue & Seed at a time when the firm filed the class action against the oil companies for the l969 oil spill. Following marriage and the births of her daughter and son, she became a stay-at-home mom for many years. When her children were old enough, she started her own business selling promotional advertising. In 1999 she decided to return to work as a legal secretary and thanks to Kurt Pyle’s encouragement she worked as a temp for Reicker, Pfau, Pyle & McRoy, ultimately working full time for Dan Reicker. She later worked at Price, Postel & Parma for Eric Hvolboll. She currently serves on the corporation board of Alpha Phi, her college sorority. She enjoys reading, antiquing, car shows and watching sports, especially golf. 

Executive Advisor: Linda Nicholson was born and raised in Long Beach, CA. Upon moving to Santa Barbara in 1972, she first worked at a local savings and loan then as an escrow officer at an escrow company. This experience proved valuable during her legal secretarial career which spanned from 1982 through 2005, and focused primarily on corporate, real estate and estate planning. She was also an executive assistant for a local real estate development company from 1998-2010, then changed career paths completely. From 2010 until early 2014, she worked as the executive assistant to the CEO and office manager of two international oil and gas development companies. Since joining the association in 1988, Linda has been a supportive member of SBLPA. She is the continuing Executive Advisor of SBLPA and previously served as Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, in addition to chairing a number of committees. Linda loves to garden, listen to music, watch old movies and dance.
